Open Tryouts - Mandatory Meeting Date Set
Posted 6-24-09 - MATC Dance Team has scheduled their Mandatory Meeting for Tuesday, September 15 at 3:30 PM in Room 207. This meeting is required for all students interested in trying out for the team, recruited athletes and for all athletes returning for their second season of competition.

Tryouts will be held on the following dates:
Tuesday, September 22 @ 3:00-5:00 PM
Thursday, September 24 @ 3:00-5:00 PM
Friday, September 25 @ Starting at 4:00 PM

2009 RECAP

After being MIA for a few years, the dance team began anew this season. Tryouts were held in October, with a turnout of almost thirty people. From that pool, we ended up with a team of ten. The team performed during half-time at both men's and women's home basketball games. The team included Coach Hayley Mason, Captains Diana Toonen and Courtney Odom, and dancers Clarrisa Pearce, Erika Fay, Kirstin Kink, Stephanie Wicks, and Nicki Paull.

2009-10 TRYOUTS

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 Dance Team will be held in the fall-- time, date, and location to be announced. Tryouts will be three days long. The first two days will be spent learning a routine and skills. On the third day, dancers will sign up for a 10 to 15-minute time slot, during which they will perform the learned routine, a routine they have choreographed themselves, as well as a series of skills (toe-touch, leaps, turns, etc.).
